The Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters, in collaboration with Åbo Akademi University, is organizing a symposium in memory of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Society’s honorary member, Professor Nils-Erik Enkvist.
The full-day symposium will take place in Turku on Monday, September 22, 2025.
The event will highlight Enkvist’s significant contributions to language and literary studies through lectures addressing key research areas from his extensive scholarly work, including Old English and applied linguistics.
The symposium will take place at Åbo Akademi University, Arken building (auditorium Helikon, Tehtaankatu 2, Turku).
The event will be conducted in Swedish and English. The event is open to the public and does not require registration.
