    A memorial address for Professor Åke Niemi will be delivered by Erik Bonsdorff.

    A lecture by Ari Hyytinen titled “Artificial Intelligence in Research: Some Observations and Examples.”

    Ari Hyytinen has been Professor of Economics at the Hanken School of Economics and the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics since 2018. He earned his Doctor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) degree from the Helsinki School of Economics (now Aalto University School of Business) in 2001. His research focuses on applied macroeconomic questions, such as how innovations emerge and how individuals become inventors. Ari Hyytinen was elected to the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters in 2024.
