    Memorial address for Professor Arto Salomaa will be given by Ralph-Johan Back

    Lecture by Anna-Liisa Laine under the title “The invisible diversity of microbes in a changing world”

    Anna-Liisa Laine has been Professor of Plant Biodiversity at the University of Helsinki since 2023, and formerly Professor of Ecology at the University of Zurich. She earned her PhD at the University of Helsinki in 2005. Her research focuses on plant–microbe interactions, evolutionary processes between species, and changes in biodiversity in relation to global environmental change. Anna-Liisa Laine was elected to the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters in 2024.
